In this tutorial I will show jailbreaking for iOS version 5.1.1 (Note-The process is same for all versions up till 6.0).The tool required to jailbreak is “Absinthe” and is available for Windows, Mac and Linux. But Make sure that you are 5.1.1 by going to General>About>Version. Also a fair warning that you might have guessed, Apple is not fond of jailbroken devices and if you take a jailbroken device to their store they might refuse to address your problem. You will lose your warranty. But on Tech Blog we teach you how to remove all traces of a jailbreak by a clean restore by which your phone becomes like anyone else’s.
During the whole process.
STEP 1
Download Absinthe According to Your OS
Windows {Click Here}
Mac {Click Here}
Linux {Click Here}
STEP 2
Once you’re done with downloading the files install it in your favorite location. Windows users unzip the file navigate to the location and simply run Absinthe executable file .It will pop up with a command prompt window with lots of text scrolling. Let it do its thing and it will terminate .Once its done you will notice a folder in the same directory
STEP 3
Launch Absinthe it looks something like this.(note: Windows users should run it as a Administrator)
STEP 4
Connect your iPhone to your PC/Mac via USB and Make sure you don’t have any lock or pass-code enabled if yes then disable it .Absinthe should detect your iPhone and display the firmware on it .To be double sure check it is 5.1.1
STEP 5
It’s a pretty easy ride if you have made it till here. Hit the Jailbreak button. Absinthe should start the jailbreak process and will display several stages on the progress bar

Once the last message appears you can safely unplug your device
